To add to their impressively unique line, Prada releases Luna Rossa Carbon, the fifth flanker of the series. Luna Rossa Carbon is distinctive, to be sure, with some of the most unusual notes in perfume stirred in. Top notes are bergamot and pepper, which might seem a standard opening, but there is something more below which pulls it away right from the start. The heart of the cologne is water, lavender, coal, soil and metal, while the base is ambroxan and patchouli. A far cry from the humdrum "fresh spicy," Carbon earns its name: earthy, smooth, rich and light all at once.
