Though often confused with Luna Rossa Carbon due to the passing similarity of their bottles, Luna Rossa Black is distinct, at once from Carbon and all the others. For one, it is the only eau de parfum released in the Luna Rossa line yet. It is also much darker than its predecessors. The top notes of bergamot and angelica (a dark, incense-like peppery fresh flower) are deepened by a heart of further angelica and patchouli, with the richest and most robust notes at the base exerting the most influence: coumarin, amber and musk. The end effect is something like chocolatey, and, like all of the Luna Rossas, the scent is so singular it must be smelt to be understood.
