Lacoste Essential was released in 2005 and followed by two flankers, neither of which achieved the meteoric success of this, the first. It's a crisp and clean scent for men, largely defined by one of its top notes: tomato leaf. Cassia, tangerine and bergamot sit alongside. Rose and pepper at the center are supported by patchouli and sandalwood. It's a crispy, slightly bitter, leafy clean, and it's one of Lacoste's most cherished colognes.
