This is a floral fruity fragrance for women that was released in 1996. It celebrates les Champs-Elysées (French for the Elysian Fields), the avenue that runs through the heart of Paris up to the Arc de triomphe. This thoroughfare, built one hundred years before the French Revolution, is a cultural hallmark that has been witness to most all of modern Frenhc history. The note profile evokes all the sensuality, beauty and novelty of the most beautiful city in the world. Top notes are melon, peach, almond, violet, currant and anise. The heart notes are lily-of-the-valley, lilac, peony, rose, mimosa, almond blossom and hibiscus. At the anchor, notes are vanilla, almond tree, sandalwood, benzoin and cedar. An interesting fact about this perfume is that it was first released in 1904 (only forty years after the avenue received its modern name of Champs-Elysees), although the ingredients have varied over the years.
