Burberry Weekend for Women

This floral fragrance for women was born in 1997, the second of the modern Burberry scents. The sophomore release is always dubious, and Burberry took a chance on hiring an unknown rookie named Nathalie Lorson. An auspicious decision, as Lorson would head on to design other such masterpieces as Jimmy Choo Fever, YSL Black Opium, Versace Eros Pour Femme, Jil Sander Sensations and Mugler Alien Goddess, among many others. Needless to say, the chips fell into place for Weekend. The top notes are mignonette, mandarin orange and sage. The middle notes are nectarine, hyacinth, peach blossom, rose, iris, cyclamen and violet root. Base notes are musk, sandalwood and cedar. It is an expression in feminine beauty that Nathalie Lorson casually bestowed on Burberry.
